Ernesto Solís

Senior Partner

Ernesto Solís is the founding partner of Fix Partners Advisors. Since the firm was founded in Santiago, Chile, in 2015, he has led its growth and expansion into management consulting, turnaround and restructuring, analytics and artificial intelligence, and performance improvement. Together with his team, he works to position Fix Partners as a leading professional services firm in Latin America.

His passion is helping companies, particularly those facing complex and challenging situations. Through a deep understanding of each client’s needs, Ernesto seeks to develop and execute strong recommendations that generate a positive short-term impact and support sustainable long-term growth.

He actively participates on boards of directors, in trade associations, and in academic activities. Ernesto is a finance professor at Universidad de Chile, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and ESE Business School, and has authored several academic business cases.

Ernesto is President of TMA Chile, affiliated with the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), a leading global organization for professionals in insolvency, restructuring, and special situations. He has led several corporate reorganization processes in Chile.

Ernesto earned his Civil Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile with highest honors in 1995 and his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2004.

Acoger: Implemented a workforce reduction of 500 employees, reducing fixed costs by 60%. Total liabilities of US$10 million.

Wilug: Designed management systems for cash flow calculations. Restructured US$5 million in liabilities, modifying repayment terms and interest rates.

Autobahn: Implemented a Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ), restructuring liabilities over five years, reducing costs by 30%, and tripling EBITDA within two years. Total liabilities of US$4 million.

Alimento el Globo: Executed a private restructuring of US$12 million in liabilities, including organizational redesign and the sale of non-essential assets. Tripled EBITDA within three years.

InterSport: Restructured US$8 million in liabilities through a Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ). Designed cash flow models.

Laboratorios ArensBurg: Implemented a Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ) involving US$4 million in liabilities, reducing the workforce by 30% and designing a new operating model.

Multitiendas Corona: Implemented a new e-commerce model and predictive demand forecasting models. Total liabilities of US$20 million.

SICC: Executed a private restructuring of US$7 million in liabilities, modifying repayment terms and interest rates. Reduced selling and administrative expenses (GAV) by 25%.

Staff Chile: Led the company's operational restructuring, including negotiations involving the termination of more than 150 employees. Increased EBITDA from 5% to 20% within one year.

Hotel Cuncúmen: Restructured US$3 million in liabilities, modifying repayment terms, guarantees, and interest rates.

Adexus: Designed an operational restructuring plan to restore business viability. Presented the proposal to the court-appointed insolvency supervisor and creditors' committee. Total liabilities of US$45 million.

Casas Chile: Restructured US$8 million in liabilities through a Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ), modifying repayment terms, selling non-essential assets, and changing the ownership structure.

Aguas Izarra: Designed a cash flow model to service US$14 million in liabilities. Prepared an expert valuation report to resolve a shareholder dispute.

Andes Industrial: Designed a simplified, pre-packaged Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ) involving US$25 million in liabilities. Negotiated with eight major Chilean banks.

Grupo ALC: Designed and executed the restructuring of five operating companies through Judicial Reorganization Agreements (ARJ), involving US$150 million in liabilities, 5,000 employees during peak season, and US$30 million in revenue. Raised US$3 million in debt financing.

Empresas Trotter: Designed and executed a private restructuring of US$40 million in liabilities involving six banks. Renegotiated repayment terms and interest rates without providing additional guarantees.

Empresas Hites: Designed an efficiency improvement plan targeting a 20% reduction in expenses, involving US$110 million in liabilities. Developed a three-year turnaround plan.

Unifood: Restructured US$20 million in liabilities for a company with 2,000 employees and 250 points of sale.

Mediplex: Optimized cash flows for a leading medical equipment company with US$20 million in revenue and 300 employees.

Muebles Sur: Designed a business closure plan for a company with US$4 million in liabilities and 80 employees.

Artisa: Led the transformation of a transportation company with US$20 million in revenue, US$18 million in liabilities, and a fleet of 160 trucks.

Minera Cobre Verde: Valued a mining asset to assess its potential acquisition through a judicial reorganization process.

Brando: Designed a repayment plan for a retail company with US$4 million in liabilities and 25 stores.

Solek: Acquired debt claims during a Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ) process involving total liabilities of US$45 million.

Simplicty: Executed an out-of-court restructuring of US$3 million in liabilities for a leading communications services company.

MKR: Restructured a leading bicycle import company with US$8 million in liabilities. Designed a new restructuring plan within an ongoing Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ) process.

Runtime/Elipse: Raised US$4 million in senior debt financing to support the acquisition of a technology company through an M&A transaction by a Canadian investment fund.

TuCar: Restructured liabilities of 30 MUS$, raised between US$6 million and US$8 million in capital, and negotiated a new repayment plan within a Judicial Reorganization Agreement (ARJ) process.

TerraPropia: Restructured US$5 million in liabilities, negotiating directly with financial creditors to establish new repayment terms.

Inversiones BosqueMar: Restructured US$30 million in liabilities for an energy-sector company through in-court negotiations with bank creditors.
